The movie received mostly negative reviews, with a 12% critic rating and 43% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and the consensus "Hampered by toothless PG-13 action sequences, incoherent direction, and a hackneyed plot, Taken 3 serves as a clear signal that it's well past time to retire this franchise." Much of the criticism focused on the bad editing, directing, and writing. Some of the scenes are unintentionally funny.Brian Mills does a lot of questionable things in the movie, including putting innocent bystanders' lives in danger by causing car crashes, and even crashing a plane.A lot of the scenes are so unrealistic, even compared to the first two films.The first half of the movie is extremely slow most of the action doesn't kick in until an hour into the movie.The plot is incomprehensible and convoluted.The movie is overreliant on exposition.In fact, in one oft-cited scene where Liam Neeson climbs over a fence, there are thirteen cuts in less than eight seconds! As hes pursued by a savvy police inspector, Mills employs his particular set of skills to track the real killer and exact his unique brand of justice. Ex-government operative Bryan Mills finds his life is shattered when hes falsely accused of a murder that hits close to home.
